Partnership Announcement | IIML EIC – Centre of Excellence in Blockchain Technology Signs MoU with IIT Madras

Strengthening India's DeepTech ecosystem through collaboration in research, innovation, and startup enablement.

The IIML EIC – Centre of Excellence in Blockchain Technology (CoE-BT) is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between IIM Lucknow Enterprise Incubation Centre (IIML EIC) and the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras), marking a significant milestone in strengthening India's innovation and startup ecosystem.

Built on a shared vision of advancing the DeepTech ecosystem, the partnership aims to foster innovation and build startup capacity with a strong focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Blockchain. Under this collaboration, IIML EIC will contribute its expertise as an incubator, while IIT Madras will serve as the academic and research partner, enabling a comprehensive ecosystem for startup growth.

As part of the collaboration, the two institutions will work together to:

• Co-develop and deliver capacity-building programs, including mentoring, business planning, and technical guidance

• Organize joint training sessions, workshops, seminars, and masterclasses

• Identify, nurture, and support high-potential startups in DeepTech, AI, and Blockchain

• Facilitate access to research capabilities, domain experts, and industry professionals

• Foster innovation through community engagement and ecosystem development

The MoU reflects the shared commitment of both institutions to leverage their complementary strengths and create meaningful impact through collaborative initiatives. It also lays the foundation for future programs and strategic engagements that will accelerate innovation and entrepreneurship.
